Length is a factor in boat detailing pricing, but it's not the factor. Two boats of the same size can require very different work. Publishing a flat per-foot rate would either overcharge boats in good shape or underestimate boats that need real correction — and we'd rather be honest up front.
What actually drives price
- Condition: is this a wash, a correction, or a full restoration?
- Length and layout: more surface, more time; complex layouts add access time.
- Access: slip location, contractor rules, shore power, and dock water.
- Scope: interior included, non-skid, waterline, teak, and so on.
- Correction risk: how much of the surface can safely tolerate compounding.
